Nexto and 16GB cards?

[Mark B.]

Has anyone tried the Nexto with the Red 16GB CF card? How long does the Nexto take to copy/verify that card? I'm wondering if the 16GB card's speed improvements over the 8GB cards translates directly into faster backups on the Nexto.

Do a search, this was discussed long time ago.

My apolizgies...16Gb cards aren't shipped out yet...so no one knows...but about the Nexto HD CF storage has been discussed.

My bad...

Yeah, I already read about the device, but it's behavior with the 16GB cards is all I'm concerned about now. If Red had to build a special module to interface with their 16GB cards, I'm wondering if other card readers (such as the one built into the Nexto) will have issues.

Sure, I don't think it will have fast transfer rates like using the CF new module on the RED. So, I just assume it will take longer to download to the unit.

Again, no one knows except RED about thier cards?
