  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Next Announcement

I can't wait for the announcement of the next announcement. It is wonderful to experience all the great excitement here about what is going to be announced in the next announcement. Years of announcements do great things to the minds of the masses.

We can either announce stuff, or we can get work done.

I agree it is good to be working on things rather that constant updates.
But it would be nice to know whether the FF35 Scarlet is a runner or not.
We have waited patiently since the models were first announced, and I am fully aware dates change and am ok with this, but we are now looking at another six months at least until the S35 will be released and no news about the FF35.
I may be wrong but it seems like the S35 Scarlet and the FF35 will be the main areas of interest for small to medium sized film and tv work.
Personally a 6K FF35 with Redcode 100 or greater with a wider range of frame rates and recording options from 6-4-3-2 K would be my first choice.

People are just excited about your products, so maybe you can cut 'em a little slack.

Sounds like RED is the one with the attitude :yesnod:

We're coding on planes, coding in cars (not whilst driving for safety concerns) and if we could code in our sleep we would.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you guys could live with announcements for the rest of your life and be satisfied even if no product comes out :)

They'll come when they come.

I can certainly understand how that could raise the stress level, especially at this time of year, but as a face of the company, well, you know... :smile5:

Hopefully you all have a GREAT bonus program in place!

I code therefore I am. I love image processing. I love the images RED makes. It's a pixel romance, but don't tell my wife.

haha! we won't tell...

! as long as you give us a little somethin'-somethin'... you know? maybe a little... inside info?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that I have seen others' screen names as first names only, and a moderator has not come by to make a comment.

All new subscribers are getting banned if they do not follow the real name policy. All others get a warning, but eventually will have to either follow the rules or be a lurker only. When looking at those posts made by "wrong" names, you will also come across a status called "banned".

Best way to avoid this is to post in the aforementioned thread. It is also a very good idea to put your real name into your signature while waiting for the processing (Jason is quite busy with enough other things; along the lines of what Græme said.)

Sponsors - and Sponsors only - are allowed to use their company name instead. A very few people have earned the privilege of having special names.
