EEEEK That sounds sarcastic, I didnt mean it so... I reallly am excited and am thinking of getting a red or two soon with the canon mount :)

24 hours... tick, tock.

Jim

well, at least now I don't have to wait up anymore. lol :embarassed:

I guess good things come to those who wait. :)

Please start early like the last posting party. We East Coasters would appreciate it... :-)

Not sure why everyone considers there to be so much of a problem with the workflow. I like REDCINE. It's a similar type of idea as ACR, with which as a still photographer I spend a TON of time.

But as long as they don't switch from an RGB slider to one of those awful three-wheel thingies, I'm on board with whatever innovations they give us.

That's a nice 08:00 hours for me over here in the UK. Although I'm sure the stuff will actually go up at 11 tonight. (Although now I've said that Jim might prove me wrong.)

If you come on Wed. you can expect to be blown away by the RPPs. Then "RR" (not short for REDray). Then one last huge surprise.

Jim

Hey Jim,

Is there any chance the Red team could set up a live internet broadcast of the event for those of us who cant make it? Please please pretty please. It would be totally awesome if we could hear the big news when it's announced.

New workflow tool ? Could that be some hardware ? Like, a redcode debayer accelerator card/module ?
:drool5:

Or maybe even crazier, a windows QT codec and a Redcine with less bugs ???

There are rumors of a webcast. I can't say for sure what will be presented on that webcast if in fact there is one, but keep tuning into Reduser to find out more details.

I bet the surprise is a RED branded camcorder designed for uploading to YouTube! 200.00 price point with interchangeable lenses and FF35 monstro sensor! In the ballpark...? MEGATON!!!:head_explode:

maybe a enhanced Red Alert???

maybe a enhanced Red Alert???

I'm really hoping for... begging for... an enhanced Red Alert workflow app that supports video out on a Kona (or similar) card. A true "one-light" grading tool that utilizes RSX files so we can take advantage of batch rendering via RedLine and all the third party apps built around RedLine. The video out to a broadcast monitor is what's currently lacking. With this we could perform real "telecine/datacine" services confidently with a client looking over our shoulder.

If there could then be an R3D/debayering accelerator card... that would be stellar. (Maybe this card has the video out)
