This bug has been present in the last few versions of REDline. When exporting with the default byte order, which is Little Endian, the timecode in most applications ends up getting reversed. So if your timecode is 02:03:01:23, it will appear to applications as 23:01:03:02. Using Big Endian fixes this problem.

I've been pounding my head against the wall trying to get proper files from RedCineX (356) to DaVinci and now that I see this post it makes sense why we've had so many problems.

We thought it was a Little Endian versus Big Endian issue but the real reason it wouldn't work is that the timecodes are getting broken. This has made my recent Red experience very negative and I'm afraid bugs in the workflow are going to have me looking for other camera packages in the future.

Hi Keith

Redusers/Red can't fix a bug, or help you work around it, if they aren't aware of it. Did you try reporting your problem on Reduser or file a direct support ticket?

All camera workflows have bugs until they're spotted and ironed out.
