Hey guys,
So I am new to the RED world and brand new to the forums. I have searched and kinda am in a weird position. I have done one other short using the RED other than the one I am currently working on. To finish after editing in FCP I would export and XML to Crimson then from Crimson go into RedCine. Only problem is the most recent REDCINE is now REDCINE-X (I know Im preaching the to choir) and I have learned that REDCINE-X no longer works with Crimson. So I am at a lost now because the work flow I was familiar with no longer works. So I need your guys help. I cut my project with the low res file and am looking now to go to full res for a final output. What is the easiest way to do this? I do not need to do any color correction, I simply need an output. I am sorry for the newbie of a post but please Educate me!

Oh man, already made the first mistake. I just sent a message for it to be changed. Any other links for help for my subject? Thank you

First need to know what your desired final output is. Always best to work backwards from there. Did you edit with Proxies? Are you familiar with Clipfinder?

As for real name. In the left column, you can edit your signature in the meantime and put your real name there. You will get more support that way.

My final output will need to be 1080p and 2k. I edited with the proxies and I have never worked with Clip Finder, I have no knowledge of the application. I again apologize for the mistake of my user name and my super lack of knowledge. Thank you for the help!

If you edited with proxies, you NEED Clipfinder! Otherwise you'll run into the dreaded looping bug in Color with any footage consisting of more than one R3D file.
Get the free version and learn it.

By far the easiest method based on where you're at is to send to Color from FCP, then render output from there. As Uli said, there are some bugs to be aware of, like the "looping" issue due to one R3D stream often being broken into multiple files on your drive. And some tricky territory with dissolves and needing all video to be on one track in FCP. Color 1.5 (FC Studio 3) may have fixed these issues?? I haven't used it yet so not sure. DO NOT FEAR Clipfinder, it's great and very easy to figure out.
