Hi All,
I am a complete newbie to RED, have graded in Apple Color for Ad Commercials etc before but have'nt output to film yet.

Ok so I Edit in FCP using Crimson worflow, send to Color for CC.
Now since Color dosent take transitions like Crossfades, how do I take a DPX Sequence that has all the crossfades intact. Maybe I could send back to FCP n take a sequence from there (not sure) but am also worried of quality loss.

Please help have to start a film in the coming week n need to get all info before I takeit up.

I appreciate ur help in advance

Just reapply the crossfades to the color corrected sequence in FCP

Hey Ronn,
Thanks for ur reply, but my worry is that after I reapply the crossfades still I will have to export
1) A tiff sequence from FCP as it doesnot Export DPX (which may not be excepted by the film lab.

2) Also will it effect the quality as it will be rendering out of FCP n not Color.

Once again really appreciate ur reply.

Simple crossfades are applied in Color if you render out a concatenated DPX sequence.

Color -> File -> Gather Rendered Media
