Did you catch the newbie label? Then thanks for being gentle.

Loving our new Raven, and am shopping for lenses. My question is when using dedicated Cine lenses will the menus on the Raven still adjust t-stop or do you have to physically grab the lens? I'm assuming that without all the auto this and that servos that still lenses have the camera's software can't control that.

you have to physically change it on the lens if you dont have lenses with electronic control, which are generally still lenses.

Thanks for the noobie titling, helps us know how to answer!

This is all 100% dependent on the lens you are using. Typically though, if you are using an electronic still lens then you will be able to control the lens via the camera body (refer to the PDF Dustin shared for specific compatibility). A vast majority of cine lenses are fully manual and will require your hand, a follow focus, or a remote follow focus to control the focus, T-stop, and zoom (if it has it). Even electronic cine lenses (like the Cooke S4i lenses) are merely capturing lens information for post production purposes and are not able to pull exposure/focus/zoom. You can find some lenses that were engineered to be used on ENG cameras that have cine-gears, electronic lens info, and internal motors to change exposure/focus/zoom.

If you post the exact lens or line of lenses, we could give you more info!

Thanks Thrill Seekers. Ya'll have been very gentle and helpful.
