  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Zeiss Zooms

hat do you mean with quite cheap?what are the prices for these?

To me the range of the Angies is more useable than 28-200. At least on Super35. These will be killer on full frame cameras.
There is already the Zeiss LWZ.2 15.5-45mm for the wide angle.

True, that one was a two-touch 28-80, but in 3.5 to 4.5 from 1983 and pretty rare. A few of the designs for Sony Alpha may still be based on the Minolta calculations, but not this zoom.

If anything they are based on Minolta designs that we're bought by Sony who shares the Alpha lens system with Zeiss.

That sounds incestual. :)

These are Zeiss original designs. The 70-200 is just starting to ship and the 28-80 will ship in the second quarter of the year. They are both compact, lightweight, inexpensive, feature interchangeable mounts and cover full frame 35mm. Go to our blog to learn more about them.

They also have 18 blades. Any talk of Full Frame CZ 15-40mm Mitch? ;-)

you could easily pair the 28-70 and the 70-200 with a ruby 14-24 and have an great zoom range

I went on Focus Optics site and he does not list price for Ruby 14-24. Any idea what they cost?

wow 18 blades!

Does the Bokay get better with more blades? From what I've seen, K35s for example (14 blade iris), the answer is 'yes."
