I just got the set of CP Zeiss Super Speeds 1.5

I have been taking them out with the Epic and giving them a once over

Fun lenses and fast. Not incredibly sharp but I think I need to do more testing to come to that assessment. I do like the general character of them. Now they just have to make more then THREE (35, 50, 85).

Take a look!

Thanks

Marc Ruiz

Yes, I plan to in the next week or so

I'm real interested in what you find out about the fast 85mm, i've been in a mental debate to round out my CP2's with either a 85 or a 100, but I don't like their close focus distance. I have been also looking at Zeiss Makro-Planar 100mm f/2 ZE which has almost half of the close focus distance of the CP2. I've been going in circles, since I really like the CP2's switching out between EF and PL, but I think i want the close focus of the Makro-Planar.

The 85 1.5T would push me over to the CP2 line instead of the ZE (since I'm often doing my close ups of paintings in natural light of hallways) if i just knew if the 85mm 1.5T was sharp when set at 1.5T.

I'm running tests this weekend

I'll give the 85 a test for 1.5 at close focus

I also have the cp2 50 makro pl and that one is fabulous for the kind of things you are talking about
