Shot this past week at NYFW - a handful of runways shows on the Epic-X, 4K WS at around 150fps using the Canon 70-200 USM II.
The series was originally conceived last fall for Instagram which had just launched video capabilities (search on instagram for the hashtag "fw15s" for all the videos from this season and last) but I fell in love with the wide aspect ratio and cinematic quality. Runway shows are typically captured representationally in their entirety at 30fps but we set out to show the nuanced aspects of the collections, how material moves, and the moments you see and feel in person but which aren't usually replay-able. Watch Karlie Kloss at 150fps and you know why she closes for half of the top designers, it's remarkable.
