  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New version up- 1.3.3

Nice improvements...
Over all Red Alert is much faster, noticeably during start up which is now instant.

It's still incompatible with with true 4k DPXs.

When exporting new proxies these do show an accurate reel number within FCP.

When overwriting existing proxies FCP reads the reel number without any extra steps in final cut.

In other words, I can go into Red Alert and regenerate all of my proxies and without changing anything in FCP every clip now has a reel number!

Same issue here: curves not editable

But bigger issue In DI mode display is broken. If I switch to DI mode I only get a white frame, in Grade mode I get an image. Most Likely due to my laptops lack of a decent video card. But hey I'm traveling for turkey day.

Just reset the image if it goes white. I had to change the way the saved settings work.

The curve thing I'd just heard about so will try to figure out what's working or not there..... Anyone else having issues with the curve?

I've found the bug. I'll try and get it out soon.

Ok, new 1.3.4 up there now with the fix in place for the curves.

Export options? I don't think we're planning any more, but who knows where an R&D app can go?

what about 4k 16:9 playback? Any chance on a date when that might be availible?

It will be available when we move Red Alert over to new Redcode library code. As for when that will be.... It's being worked on.
