Hello all! I am new to RED and new to this forum.
I have a question... I already know how vague and flawed it is before I even ask it... but I will ask it anyways.
What are the best RAW editors for RED footage?
I come from a still photo background (www.blankimagearts.com), and really enjoy editing RAW digital photos... however, I don't see the same functionality built in to RedAlert! for example. It seems very basic.
Please feel free to flood me with information. I have done some shooting with the RED already, having shot 2 music videos... (www.blackchalkproductions) ... so I do know SOMETHING about the workflow. Currently, I've been using Redalert to do some initial RAW editing (color, contrast, basic stuff), then I transcode in Redrushes, and edit in Final Cut Pro... where I add a few more basic effects. I just know I'm not getting everything I CAN be getting from this camera.
Thanks in advance.
