New Sigma ART 24-70 coming soon! Full Frame

A couple of rumors are saying Sigma is going to release a full frame f2 24-70mm lens in the near future. This is huge! Hope Nan is able to rehouse this lens so we finally have a proper, lightweight zoom in this range that's also full frame. Now they need an ART 70-200 f2 to match and that will make a lot of people very happy. Hope it comes soon!

Pricing is expected to be below the Canon 24-70mm lens! Crazy times and glad to see Sigma do this.

Great news! I was blown AWAY by the optics of the 18-35. I snagged a retail version for some quick testing and returned it and have to say it's great. Really looking forward to a 24-70 in that same "ART" family!

It's tougher to make wider lenses faster and cover more than the telephoto end.

There are few lenses that get me excited too, but keep in mind, currently there are just rumors, no official word on those lenses, no dates and no confirmation at all.

I'm pretty happy with the Tamron 24-70, but if the Sigma is an f/2, performs as well as their other recent offerings and is color-matched with the Sigma telephoto zooms I'm using now, I might have to make the switch.

I've seen this rumor a bunch of places and I still don't believe it's correct. Lots of mistranslations on these rumor sites. My bet is it's either FF35 f/2.8 or APS f/2.0 (or huge, I guess, would be a distant third).

I got my 18-35 and have to say that taking my canon L off the camera and putting the sigma on....just the feel....I can't believe one lens is 3x the price and feels like crap in comparison.....the 35 is awesome as well and optically both really shine.....iam very excited about all these lenses.....especially the 24-70 and the 50....sigma is doing everything right these days....
