Our FX guy is working on the green screen now.
Hopefully early January we'll have a more further along cut.

But we're really happy with it so far.

Agent's acting / dialogue was a little weak.

Could have been more experiential and experimental considering we're supposed to get inside the head of a crazed murdering junkie.

Why wouldn't he use all blood for the painting? Why go back to paint? There's plenty available

While I won't comment on the first point as I've heard the opposite from a number of people, the second and third I will...

When we have the green screen work all done, you will see some things that change it up a bit. Nothing too drastic, but it'll add an extra dimension.

Lastly, a lot of people that I talked to thought he should just paint in the blood, but that's not what it's about. You can see him dabbling into the blood at the end, but that was unscripted. And we didn't have another canvas to use, so we just kept it in.

It's not about how the blood itself makes for a better texture or what have you, but how everything (from the blood, to the body, to how he feels about what he did) inspires him. It's that moment where he realized that it's not the drugs that he needed to help him paint, it was always within him, he just needed something to realize it.
