  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Scarlet-X Owner Reality Check

Ben sells Red and buys Astin Martin = Ben is knee deep in tail until the car dies – In debt yes, but the tail makes it worthwhile.
Are you telling me a Director can't get metaphorical tail?

Thanks to everyone who has posted a positive real world response.
You want your eyes wide open but directly after just buying a new package is always when new buyers are feeling the most insecure.
Nice to have a great balance of posts.

Best Wishes

Tell me that next time I'm shooting on top of an Icelandic glacier, ice all around me, fire right in front of me, and a wind cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey... alone, because there's no other bugger daft enough to follow me up there :-)

Mike

I'm in as well. Just tell me when and where.

I figure I can get the $14k starter package initially and use my C-mount 16mm lenses for 2k and Minolta MD Rokkors for 35mm with low cost EOS adapters. Add media, batteries, and accessories as needed. All of my existing support gear will work OK for now.

Expensive for what is essentially a hobby camera, but nothing else is of much interest. This will be a single high quality camera that can serve all my needs very well for a very long time with room to grow.

I dont think c-mount lenses will work since they have such a short FFD unless you are using them only for macro shots.

Heh. Last time I did that I was shooting stills:

Next time, I'll be shooting 4K.

Red: Everything changes. Red: Changes everything. You guys have totally turned around what I can do. Thanks.
