New Scarlet-W or Used Epic M-X?

Hello,

What would you choose? Brand new Scarlet-W (I/O V-Lock Package) or used (400-500hours) Epic Misterium-X with quite nice ready to shoot kit? Both with price around $15k.
Please share your thoughts. Pros and cons?

Scarlet-W for me:
- Dragon Sensor, interchangeable OLPFs
- DSMC2 body, newer tech
- new = warranty and all
- upgrade-path to next sensor/body-generations
- a few more...

EPIC-X has higher maximum framerates. If that is your thing it might be the main reason to go that route. And one nice thing about all the DSMC2-upgrading going on is the used market for DSMC1-modules and accessories. Otherwise Scarlet-W beats EPIC/MX for me.

As i said, i would go Scarlet-W.

The Epic will have better framerates and cheaper accessories, because everybody is dumping their DSMC1 stuff for sale these days. But you can't upgrade it past a mini-mag module and new fans.

The Scarlet-w has an upgrade path, dragon sensor and DSMC2 perks though. It's also a lot more rentable/desirable because it's the hot new camera right now.

I'd say you can't go wrong with either. Epic is more economical, Scarlet is newer and cooler.
