After what felt like eternity through eBay transactions/shipping/transfer of ownership/shipping (waited around a month; having a large chunk of money leave a bank account with nothing to show for it is a little nerve wracking, as I'm sure many of you know from what I've read when things are backordered or are just taking time to arrive!), my Scarlet-X finally arrived the day before Thanksgiving! So I am truly thankful this year, LOL

After going on a couple of test shoots and not getting what I wanted and getting frustrated I finally did a black calibration and the image that came out was fantastic and I'm so excited to use this camera! Attached is a screencap, no color grading or edits (aside from the watermark). They look good on my computer, after uploading to the forum looks like it went through some compression and looks grainier than the source image. While I will probably still use my 5D3 for low light run n gun, anything daylight oriented will be Scarlet, hands down. I can't even look at blown out daylight footage from a DSLR anymore.

So for my newb question (and I am mostly joking here) - are we naming these things or what? I've seen a few names given to Scarlet/Epics here and was wondering if there's a naming guru who doles out names based on our camera's Destinies. LOL

I kind of followed suit as it seemed like the thing to do. From what I understand it is a tradition in the higher priced camera market? I'm not sure where it stemmed from but Yes many people do have their camera's named.
