A small video showing the Machine with the red one on board and some moves inside the house.Unfortunatly we did not have long cables for the HDD and battery so I couldnt record any footage from it. All the cables can be rooted inside the main pan shaft under the stage and they wont mess up with the panning rotations.
the video shows the gangster as well with the red one on board with the VF-FF AND My T-bracket for the VF reciever.
the back tube could be removed for that set up.
Please leave a comment for my hard work on the rigs , more to come later on in the week.
Thanks:bigear:

And I would use this for what? What could I do with this that I can not do with an Aaton 35/Epic directly on my shoulder? The lens seems to sit very high(helmet cam) and its too big for really confined spaces. I not a big fan of the easyrig either.Dont even like the Mantis that I own. I like the camera to be as much of an extention of my body as possible. Maybe I am just a grumpy old man who has done too much handheld for 20 years;-)

Jen hello. If you are doing hheld for 20 years i am sure that if you look the video you can see more than 5 moves or transitions that its not possible to do with just a camera on your shoulder. I will be in IBC this year (Skipped NAB)So maybe you can come by and try the rig. Its a tool you have to be trained for a few days first then see the results.
You gave to be open to new things.I like it that you are difficult.nothing wrong about this:cornut:
About the lens. The lens sits aprox 6 cm higher than usual due to gimbal design and suspension. I can see this being a prob for tall ops but not a big problem generally there are ways around it.
A helmet cam sits more like 20 cm if not more from where it should be on a shoulder so I wouldnt call this a very accurate observation.:gun:
About length the MACHINE sticks out about 40 cm from your back. It looks long for tide spaces. But when moving inside interiors and doorways is easy because you dont turn with your body to go through you pan the camera first , its like a snake thing going through spaces with curves.
Its all down to operating with it then you will know.:ihih:
One thing you cant do jen better than the Machine is 360s. have a look at the vids shot with front heavy early prototypes and you ll see what I mean:biggrinjester:
Camera support systems are there to help in specific or all around ways using them, if you find no use at all for them, then you are a happy man.
Thanks for the comments

The videos was great Constantine! Questions.. Can you show how the rubber setup works? And Gyros? And on a Easy rig? And how the cables run through the Rods? And how you go from the Machine->the Gangster or vice verca? Sorry to ask alot, but since I already own a HR-1D, I want to see all the new goodies :) :) Keep it up! I love the velcro vest, looks really rigid (I need all the support I can have!)

Jens, it seems like your best off without any accessories at all? Would be great to hear what you are looking for. I don't shoot alot of handheld, so It would be great to hear your thoughts about a design that would fit your style. I can hold the Red on my shoulder for about 1 minute (With the Red shoulder mount, etc) and then I can't take it any more, my shoulder just doesn't want to take it anymore.. With Constantines rig, I can walk around for hours, with a perfect balance. I know that the cameras are "high up" compared to other rigs, but how on earth would you be able to do a perfect pan rotation without having it way way out from your body? (Thinking about the Machine)..

Hey Peter. The rubber cord is just a cord in tension just like a spring, its has pretension and gives a bit of suspension, not anything drastick for walking, but good at taking vibrations for vehicle shooting.
To work with gyros I supply special bracks for the gyro attachment.Up to 3 can be connected. I will get some shots for the cable rooting, they come down the main pan shaft that has 40mm diameter, then you take them back , but not throught the tubes, the rods only have 10mm diameter.
YOU CAN WALK FOR HOURS WITH HR-1D AND RED?
I THOUGHT I :hurray:WAS SUPERMAN.
Well though the set up is more heavy it feels more confortable on you.
Thanks
EDIT: To take one rig to the other you need more or less parts and a allen wrench for 5mm srews.
this is kind of instructional , but it can be done in 10 minutes. Very easy. I ll try and do a photo film to see this.
EDIT: I have to think again about easyrig as it needs to be quite long extended to work with it.
Thanks

Haha, yeah maybe I exaggerated a little... But the point is, I can have the HD-1D for a very long time on my shoulder without feeling that I need to go to the chiropractic clinic :)

How much weigh does the rubber cord handle? Yeah, more videos please! :) From what I've seen sofar from your videos, the system looks really nice and I love that you can go from a smaller rig to the complete Machine with gyros etc. etc.. very future proof friendly :)

the cord is not a bungie its a 16mm rubber solid cord that is screwed and fixed with external industrial grips . it can handle about 25-30 kilos of weight.
Yes I will do a few more videos.
Its a bummer I have to borrow my friends red one, and we havent got much time for proper videos. But I will try my best.
Thanks

This is for Tom Lowe.
Tom this is the 3 gyro set up you have been requiring,so you can stabilize all 3 axis and with the gimbal design and suspension elastic cord you should have the ultimate Godfather stable rig . Of cource it can work with 2 gyros as well.
Let me know if you d like anything else, I ve done a lot of designing the last days for you and I d like to see it alive.
your turn now

One word.... Smoooth!

Really nice to see the gangster in action. It seems like it fits very nice on your shoulder, since the motions looked very clean to me! Great work as always constantine!

Thanks Peter. Strange I got no comments from other people as well.
Its really tough when you work so hard to invent and improve a product, work really hard to make videos to show that its working and get nothing back.I ll keep trying working my guts on this no matter the response.
Thanks again

Excellent Art Of work.
