  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Redrock adapter - contest to name it!

Alan, It's a little crazy with everyones Xmas schedule. Call Abel and ask to leave Greggor a VM or an email. He is the contact because Mitch is now on Vacation. He'll be back on the 5th and in touch with you then.

Actually, I'm back in the office and Gregger is the one on vacation until the 5th. I handed this over to Gregger to administrate, but you can contact either of us. I'll pass requests along to him.

Alan, we'll get to you.

Brian,

i know this is not the thread for this, but as you may know Allstar has come out with a nice shoulder mount for RED. HOWEVER it does not include handles and things.. I was sent a link to your Shoulder mount and was wondering if you would be willing to sell me the FRONT part of your package without rods shoulder pad etc.. I need the handle assembly for 19mm rods.

Please let me know A.S.A.P. as I am gearing up for a shoot. I am looking at the $195 price range if possible.

Thanks

Jay

So, why not the Redrock route?

Hi Jay - Great question. At the moment we sell it only as a bundle. Even then with a complete microShoulderMount kit including shoulder pad at $290 it's a great deal and less expensive than just handgrips from other places.

Does your microShoulderMount kit hold perfectly the weight of a Red1 camera? Full equipped?

Brian,

You are correct, but I don't need all of that, and as you can imagine, if I were ok with spending, I would have ET's handheld device.

So I need a handle assembly to go with my Allstar. It's needs to be 19mm.
(I'm sure there are quite a few others in the same boat, since the Allstar seems to be selling like hotcakes)

Once you get around to offering it, let me know and I will check it out provided I have not purchased another solution by then

Thanks for the fast reply

Jay

Jay,

Our "bullet" design is for 19mm rods. We'll be shipping by then end of january hopefully.

They are really nice, self locking mechanism with "internal" rosettes.

You really should take a look at these as they are a very compact and sturdy alternative.

Currently our prototypes are out on sets as we finish our final testing phase.

Hi Jay - you are welcome, and certainly will let you know if things change.

Cristina - we have rigged this up to a Red camera with a configuration of a crossbar in front (one of the configurations we show in our intro tutorials on the shouldermount page http://www.redrockmicro.com/microShoulderMount/index.html ) it holds up the Red nicely.

Also let me suggest we may want to start separate threads on some of these newer topics - this naming contest thread has lived it's useful life me thinks :)
