Lots of great much needed updates in this release. Looking forward to explore the LUA scripting.

This really huge, Thanks REDcine X team

Cool, at this moment it's worth buying a red camera JUST for the software support! Good work!

Does anyone else have difficulties getting the win64 version to run? Get the following message when start to launch Redcine-X:
I get the same error message when trying to run the 64bit version. I'm on a Windows 7 64bit.

For realtime playback it does but not for rendering.
You can playback to 3D monitors that support SbS or interleaved but putting the viewer on the monitor in full screen.

The new firmware (coming soon) that goes with this build will name clips:
A001_L001_0101XX
A001_R001_0101XX
and RCX will automatically make a 3D clip and align to timecodes if the R3Ds or RDCs are in the same directory. It'll also flip/flop as to what the camera is set to.

Coming soon will be post convergence (HIT/Global offset).

We've been beta testing the 3D camera firmware builds and RCX builds - and anyone doing 3D will jump for joy over this stuff.

Thank you for the IN and OUT burgers! In a future build, would love it if you could also add the other IN and OUT buttons, / and *, on the extended keyboard (far right side) if that's not too much to ask. It's the way my brain works.

Having lots of extra pixels and resolution for post convergence/HIT and reframing is also turning out to be a big advantage.

BTW, to make a 3d clip from older firmware L/R pairs, just put the two clips in the bin, select both, and right click select "Make 3D Clip". Then drage the 3d clip to viewer.

You'll then see a 3d menu in the viewer as well as in the clip settings stack.

You rule team!!! Let´s play. :001_tt1:

Heya!

Here I am up all night - buckets of insomnia - and there is a new RedCine-X release.

Hee hee!

You guys RAWWWWWK!

Why don't you just release RedCine as an NLE solution already? At this point it seems like all it needs is a few tweaks and bang - we can all lose our respective final cut, avid, and premier and be 100% Red from production through post...

Thoughts?

Love the new features, especially the new Browser layout and the R3D Snapshot.

Running into a consistent bug here though, every time I drag a clip on the viewer to open it and then drag another, different clip the program shuts down. It always happens on the second clip I open. I am using the 64bit version and testing this on my workstation without the Red Rocket card.

Great news!

Great news!

R3D triming!!!! Now i can backup the original R3D footage of a 2Hours movie, like i backup the dpx sequence. NO EXTRA DATAv:emote_happyhappy:
FCP import... no more roundtrips!
What is REDlog film? We always used Redlog to filmout prints and our workflow is based on dpx log.
