  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New RED Lens(es)

I was wondering about the same thing. Decided to keep my dlsr for timelapses. Especially in somewhat perilous condition. So i woulnt mind it too much if it gets wet, damaged or stolen.
I went from Canon to Nikon on the DSLR side because Nikon was the king of dynamic range by a long shot... so all my lenses are Nikon and all my Leica-R's are converted to Nikon Mounts... I hope (but doubt) that when these lenses come out that they will have a Nikon mount option.

As a side note, I am starting to wonder whether I need to use my DSLR for anything ever again. The Epic-Ws stills are stunning. For going to the zoo or something, the DSLR is still just a tad more convenient and portable.

I wish for it be a wide angle zoom S35/FF swappable (like Angineux EZ) with internal focusing motor (silent) for deep integration with the Red system (also RT and fool control). Also, interchangeable mounts (i.e., zeiss cp.2, cooke).

You guys know that is a Vantage Hawk lens. Jarred said at one point (I think) that the color of the thing inspired the storm troopers.
