New RED Interviews

First of all "GREAT JOB RED AND CONGRATS"

In all truth this has been the best thing RED has put on their site as far as info.

I can sure talk the hears out of any prospected Investor or Big Studio, when it comes to present one of my projects and why I want and they must be shot with RED cameras and the RED workflow.

But as I'm currently in the dealing of two Humongous Projects, one for a TV series in Dubai, to have the Highest budget in TV History and the other is a 9 Sequels Movie Franchise which will be of about one Billion, well, with this numbers the research that is done, is literally esousting, and I have been scrapping every piece of materials and doing all kinds of tests as to prove and convince every one of RED's new Era of Cinematography, and why I must be allow to have this cameras in 100% of all my shootings.

The response it is the same every time:

"Well KETCH you are a terrific fellow, you have an incredible amount of energy, and you are clearly highly motivated which is all great, but as you have stated your self, you have never Directed before, so how can we take your word, on the most important piece of gear for the shoot?"

Well now, with this interviews, which have already been forwarded to all my contacts and prospected investors of my current projects, I look forward to more positive news, FOR SURE.

"THANKS RED TEAM, THIS WAS MUCH NEEDED AND TRULY APPRECIATED"

ciao

Yep i was in line waiting to get in to the Red theater and watched most of them. But it is nice to have them online. thanks Red

Anthony Richmond shot some of the great Nic Roeg films like Man Who Fell To Earth and Don't Look Now, he is an amazing cinematographer. Having said that, listing his accomplishments as Legally Blonde and those other 2 crappy movies is like calling Michael Jordan a baseball player.

Ted said, at the offhollywood presentation at NAB, that he'd put up a video of one of the guys listing the cost differences between shooting RED and shooting 35mm.

Ted, where's the clip???

we had a lot of fun shooting the LA portion of these interviews...yes that is my curly hair poking out from behind red#0031 in the wide, but all the tight is little ole me as the OP on B cam...and of course #0031, the new and improved 31x, this was actually the first thing shot on 31x..enjoy.

also, check out Crash's latest video shoot for Gavin Rossdale, former Bush Front Man and he also married to gwen stafani, which i bet doesn't suck.

pardon the green tape applied in such an awful way, we had 3 minutes to take the camera off the jib (arri 15mm baseplate) and put it in a hand held config with the red 19mm baseplate and carbon rods...the green tape is holding in the anton bauer p-tap to 4 pin female to 4 pin bartech focus motor cables. the scene required crash to be right in the middle of a mob scene (50 crazed people rushing to get somewhere, so we did not want them to caught up in the cables.)

Missed this post somehow - I'm writing a script after-hours and trying to not check Reduser (impossible, I know)...

I'm really glad to hear the interviews are helping the Red community get projects sold, equipment booked, etc. That's awesome, you guys deserve it. Now go get rich and give me a discount when I'm trying to shoot something and need some help, please ;)

BTW, Red were great and it was a great pleasure & honor to work with Ted and all of his friends...

AFAIK, full credits would be:
