  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New project...

Teaches them for stringing it out so much :)

We are complimenting Elsie's idea with editions. That looks like what I'm proposing.too. Ultimately one cell maybe decimated to dissapear and return in the next film, maybe a member or two survive to exosnd the network to.a new cell, new area, maybe then next movie is only influenced by them, or they turn up in a third and last movie, sort of thing.

I'm thinking more that the perps are not buying into an organisation, more an ideology. Seems to be successful for all the wrong reasons in society these days. Fanatics work towards a goal of an ideology, in this case a World without injustice towards the natural planet and its resources etc. This way there are no administrative trails when it comes to autonomous cells confronting a particular issue. They will have their supporters and be unwitting stable mates to other cells working along the same lines to confront another contentious issue.

There are lots of component points. Profit? Why not have a global capped profit limit for enterprises? There's nothing wrong with a company being successful, but does unregulated growth have to come at the expense of the environment, species and human health? I mean, think about it. If an industrialist rips up a forest and creates a new village or city they are called 'Visionary', a Developer. But stand against the destruction of that forest in the first place and society seems to cast those folks as outsiders, social deviants, hippies, the great unwashed and many other labels beside.

There are so many issues that could contribute to the storyline. Over population, Environment and Wildlife issues and the whole GMO platform, all intrinsically linked to each other. You can't topple one domino without risking additional fallout.
 
I agree with your ideas, pretty much how I would do it. I know how to right, butndint know the details and nuances ofnthese groups which meansva co-writer/researcher/time. I could write them from their psychological motivations, but not the form things take in real life. You might have a far better idea of the on the types of styles of a wide range of these individuals in order to fill in those details, especially in the "they wouldn't do that" moments. You should talk with Elsie. I would likely pick somebody like yourself if I was doing the project as a co-writer.

Got that link working. Jet pack flying golf lol. The US military had a single jet version flying platform in the 80's I think.

It is amazing what people don't figure out, like what happens to the golf balls when you come in to land wuthba vertical jet. Lol! By the time you walk 40 feet to it from your last position, juice this baby up, land it 40 feet away and walk to the ball..

I wouldn't get involved with anything in a reality based nature whilst living in that same location. Having been in that position before in a different geo-specific location I can tell you it's not fun, especially when the safety of the family comes into the equation. I prefer to let the relevant law agencies deal with that in the real World. Fiction on the other hand? I have a very vivid imagination and a long history of having been around hard core conservationists for many years. Some of the ideas heard in discussions would make Pol Pot cringe!

Oh, I see, you are not s temporary resident.

So, anonymously helping write something while talking to practitioners is out. I appreciate your point. I wouldn't mind writing something like this too. But so many things.
 
Research is one thing making a documentary is another. By the gist of the post I was thinking you were alluding to making a factual documentary about the issue. Naming names, going after the perps etc. Fiction is one thing factual is another. Very happy to be involved with a fictional project.
 
Elsie was talking fictional, and I thought we were talking about that Marc, sorry.

Fictional requires research to get a handle on the culture and how people carry themselves, talk, layout of locations they work in, just to write it better. However, I thought you meant that poking around and writing something fictional that encroaches on the locals was an issue.
 
Simple case of misunderstanding. I was thinking you meant a fly on the wall factual documentary, go catch the bad guys kinda deal. That scenario is what I would steer clear of. Getting involved with the same people for the sake of research wouldn't be a problem. I imagine it would take some time to gain trust etc.
 
Well, observation, a few appointments some talk see who is friendly. Find out go and observe the dealers while purchasing something else. Find friends investigate a little further. Nothing drastic, just need to haveban idea what the sets would be like and how they talk and handle themselves. You might not ever need to mention anything about the trade, just act innocent and see how you should be writing. That's the minimum of course.
 
Of course writing about illegal activity active where you live, might not be the best idea.

Maybe an over-the-air video transmission codec that was designed along SpaceX so that when they go to Mars, they can transmit back tons of high quality 4k+ video back to us (maybe even live). Not sure if that would benefit anyone other than us space geeks though.

Testing on a SpaceX barge landing would be a fun way to reveal the tech since those feeds always cut out.
