  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Nikon 14-24 f2.8 Wide Zoom

It's doubtful Nikon will ever make f1.4 wide zooms. Their 28mm f1.4 prime is fetching $2700+ on eBay. Yikes.

I picked up a 28mm f2.0 AI for $120, and a 20mm f2.8 AIS for $200 so I am happy. :)

Best of my knowledge, that 28mm f1.4 is out of production. Whats awesome, is if you bought one when they were being produced for less than $2000, youd have made a nice profit.

Does anyone know if there is a wide Nikon prime lens between 14mm and 18mm at f2.8 available anywhere? If so, where can I get one, and for how much?

That 14-24 f2.8 looks really nice and wide, but I'd rather have manual aperture rings on my lenses if possible. The 17-35 looks more appealing to me because of this. But I really just want a 14 or 15mm prime f2.8.

I know of the AF 14 mm f/2.8 ED-RF Nikkor which is friggin' great, but for the life of me I haven't found anyone selling one. Those are more elusive these days than the chupacabra.

What did it happen?
ebay has bugs.. you can try bid and with no reason at all you cannot place your bidding.. and you lose that particular offer.. you contact the ebay and they have no explanation.. but you already lost the auction.. i wouldn't be surprised if the system is not vicious..

But in this case, they can't proceed with the auction. They should repeat the transaction and relist the item.

if they will be in the mood..

where?.. to the courts? :)

it depends on the sensibility or efficiency or competence or whatever of the ebay rep with who you're talking about.. there's who understands the point and try to help you, relisting the item or giving their ok to the seller.. and there are also the a$$holes.. it depends on their own mood..

as i already said.. ebay sucks.. :help:

We've known about highjacking stuff. But this is completely new to date. It's always useful to know these happenings...

E-bay also continues to let UK powerseller cpt_maximus (1870) to continue to sell though I know have caught him twice illegally selling copies of my DVD.

All ebay does is remove the evidence. 6 Months later, I hear from a buyer that my dvd quality was not very good, well it was a bootleg again from this guy. I reported him a 2nd time, my dvd bootleg listings sold and listed were deleted yet he continues to sell. He sells a fireplace DVD-r that Im sure is stolen too.

Ebay does not punish him, he continues to pirate. Rather than ban this guy for life, freeze his paypal account and pay us pirated producers, he's safe to do his job. I listed my complaint to ebay, they dont respond. I put it on their safety forum to warn others, and in 48 hrs they pull my message since I actually list another ebayers illegal activities.

What a joke. Ebay is the youtube.com of illegal sales... if you want to make money - copy and sell DVDs until someone stops you... wait 6 months and do it again. No wonder, Hollywood is suing everyone.
