So, what do we know about this new sensor ?
What has changed since the original Mysterium ?

More pixels is one thing, but it has been said in another thread that there would be a 4K version available as an upgrade for the RED One.

So what else has been improved ?
- Higher Dynamic Range ?
- Higher ISO ?
- Less / better looking noise ?
- less rolling shutter ?
- Higher FPS ? It's supposed to do 100 FPS in 5K, so maybe 120 FPS in 4K ?
- No black sun issue ?

Just curious, has anybody at Red given more details about all this ?

Nils.

Someone from Red posted that the rolling shutter situation has improved with X.

Is it Mysterium Ten or Mysterium Ecks? I can't handle the extreme.

Now that this was brought up again, exactly what improvements are we looking at for this sensor over the current Red Sensor? I presume this has changed since the second to last post almost a year ago...

Jim has stated in previous posts that:

Mysterium-X has a 40% faster read reset than Mysterium.

MysteriumX has one stop more dynamic range than Mysterium, and Monstro has two stops more again.

They haven't determined yet how much more sensitivity, which would imply that it is intended that there will be more sensitivity. Just not known how much at this point.

Later,
Jason
