I Had a chance to try some parts from Movcam for Epic & Scarlet.
Both are expected this June, prices TBA (but judging by their usual pricing it will very affordable)

A nice new low profile dovetail slide plate with rosetted shoulder pad..

and a wooden roll stop handle...

Again availability is expected this month, and prices are TBA.
I'll update this thread when i know more. Build quality is very impressive, all their gear is really well thought out and really well machined. Nothing catches or snags and most parts are available in gunmetal and black.

cheers

Wow...they make great looking stuff. The FS700 kit is art. Makes me want to buy one just to have the kit. :thumbup1:

i really want the dovetail and shoulder pad set up :)

Hey Jason,

do you know if their lightweight dovetail and shoulder pad dovetail are arri standard? I just bought the Quick Riser from WC and it would be nice to use their shoulder pad with it.

Thanks!

I just got the dovetail, shoulderpad, epic riser and handles. All really well built. The camera sits directly on your shoulder. Need extensions for handles though as rosettes are back a bit far.

on a show now but will get some pics.

are these available for order now?

Yes they are shipping just not updated on their site. Contact movcam direct for distributors, bandpro carries them. I bought mine in China.

Hi Ben,

do you know of their Dovetail and Shoulder Pad Dovetail are made to the Arri Standard? So they would work with every other bridgeplate out there.

Hey Tom,

It doesn't look like it works from first glance. That would be ideal. I will check on it tomorrow and let you know as I had no dovetails to test when it came in.

cheers

Ben

No its not Arri compatible.. but thinking about it.. does it matter? as long as you have enough bottom plates to go round.. maybe not an issue. Its all about keeoing it light and low profile i guess

What is the nice low profile battery on the back of the camera? I really want a low profile battery.

Anton Bauer Dionic 90's last about 90 mins too.. I LOVE them and wont leave home without them now!

cheers

It does slide and lock onto standard arri dovetail. Although the tracks in the epic riser are too wide to properly sit on an arri dovetail and use the safety release.

movcam sell their own dovetail which is actually better for lightweight use.
