Today I hooked up our brand new nMP ( 12 core 64 gig of ram 2.7 GHz) to a G-Tech Thunderbolt 4TB drive . I tested 6k widescreen .R3D footage running in both FCPX and Redcine X Pro. It was impressive.

I was getting real time playback at 1/2 debayer and it was topping up the buffer, visibly faster than playback.

Can you test it New Mac Pro with Premiere Pro CC and CC (2014) ?
I'm interested to know about playback and debayering.
