  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NEW HEAT SINK | WHEN WILL M-OWNERS BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THIS?

I am just wondering if M-OWNERS will be able to get this and the new mounting bracket? Not for nothing but I dropped close to 100K at once, will be getting a second brain, even if my brain tumor kills me before the new year. I know delivery dates change, and I can be patient, but if you buy say and EPIC-M KIT and a 7 set of lenses does that not count for anything? And my Bomb-Squad member left and nobody told me, Ashley at RED is really nice, I would just like the doors to communication to stay open. Especially when I take so much heat, I got Kodak yelling at me and I told them to stay ahead of the curve. A little love here for Scorpio in waiting in New York.

I guess that's my question, the x program is going so do you mean that or something else? I just need to plan how to do stuff... It would be so amazing if your New York office could install this here but maybe what I can do is send it off to you from that location. In any event, I know there are a lot of us, but that should be a good thing no? In this business we are always wanting more of it for lighting setups etc ... I would just like a bit of a heads up, eta, something. My M-Package was ready to ship for a fair bit but didn't ship out until much later. Again, I sing your praises, I have a sickness I need to get fixed, it would be nice that this was understood, which I had become comfortable with Ryan because I knew at times things were out of his control. Normally, I wouldn't sweat this but because of what's going on with me personally, it would be nice that this company which is changing moving images every - know that there are actual people who depend on at least some amount of information. I am not being mean, angry, potentially I am complaining a bit but, hey, I just ordered another M-Brain... I know there are millionaires on here who have like 8 cams but this is all a very big deal for me, plus I got the RRPrimes.

Lots of things need to come together for the upgrade program to start. We'll definitely post an ETA when it's a known quantity.
 
THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU GUYS & THE GEAR SO MUCH! COULDN'T AFFORD THE RED ONE CAUSE I GOT INTO NYU, otherwise I would have an EPIC-X by now... AN M not bad... Heat sync is huge though, also I need some larger bolts... Can I get That at the office in New York? Also, for the love of god, my time is so precious to me, somebody get back to me on the side handle, if times change etc. I know Jim posted some times today on the web , or yesterday, I was one of the first people to order the Canon mount but I don't know if people, red one owners, get the mounts first.

Welcome to Reduser.

There are many of us Epic M owners who might be waiting on certain parts of the kit to be complete.

Part of the privilege of Owning the M is the agreement phase where we have to check the box acknowledging that we are part of a Special Edition sort of Beta Test of the camera, and we know that not all of the parts will be in the box when we get it.

I'm not sure what went down with your Bomb Squad Rep, but don't worry - Red has many good reps working for us.

At least when you get the first package from Fedex you have something you can start shooting with, and of course the excitement of waiting for that next piece of the puzzle.

As you shoot more and more with the cameras, the frustration of some missing little piece will melt away, and the joy of knowing that you have THE premiere cutting edge digital cinematography system in the world that you can hold up with one hand will settle in.

I hope you get as much enjoyment from your purchase as I do, and that the backordered parts will find their way to your mailbox before December - I have a feeling it will pan out.

As for the Heatsink Upgrade - Its really cool that the upgrade comes for free, but I wouldn't stress over it for now Reduser is the place we all come for our latest information fix, so see ya here!

If I had a brain tumor I would be doing the same thing -- Spending all my money on RED gear.

Oh wait, that is what I'm already doing....

Shooting on Epic is a great way of living life to the fullest!
 
I spend most of my spare money on RED stuff... My wife accuses me of having a brain tumor.
 
I deserve the teasing, fine, but, of course we dont all know each other yet, just trying to spend as much time with my cameras in case surgery doesn't go well. but ... tease away.
