What is the diameter of these lenses?

Yea, what's with all the mystery? What are they hiding. Just come out with it already. These are lenses we're talking about here.. not alien moon gold

What a coincidence. I've been wanting to get some Alien Moon Gold for my kit. When is it available?

The lost me as a customer before I even knew who they were. That's pretty funny.

I believe 95mm Ryan but I could be getting my rumors confused.:)

Thanks- that sounds about right- as long as they are in the 95 - 110 range I'll be fine.

Jan sounds like a good guy that got tricked by the real manufacturer. He wanted it to work because he was on the inside, but now he is back-peddling and distancing himself from the project.

Hi Phil,

Probably the manufacture had seen some of the posts Jan made here & @.com.

Tumble weeds through this thread all of a sudden.

- Shott - basic glass blocks supplier

- Astro Berlin - design basis for super speed primes at T1.7

- Schneider - Kreuznach - a lens housing, glass grindings, glass coatings, lens markings...

- Brand name, marketing, distribution...???

Matt,

yes we know that,

but the ASTRO's lens design basis papers and patents are still "alive" in Berlin!!!

Those lenses were quite fast at that time in 50s/60s but with a "bad" coatings.

Today with a computer technology and a better glass coatings with a bit of re-design at the certain elements

and then it could be possible to "achieve" the speed about T1.7 from that old ASTRO lens designs.

Also don't forget that "chosen" focal lengths match the same as Astro's:

25, 32, 40, 50, 75, 100...
