I'm pretty sure this is in the new build, or if not it' coming soon (Stuart can confirm)

All those who use Cantars, or Sound Devices and such audio recorders will love this:

You can now use the TimeCode out to start your recorders REMOTELY. In the case of the Cantar, just set your Start by LTC setting. Set the RED to EDGECODE out and when you hit record, the sound recorder will fire up about 4 seconds later once it has confirmed sync.

I begged for this a while ago, and then forgot I even asked for it..

But not Stuart...

Cool new feature!

Audio Start / Stop

Audio Start / Stop

It is indeed in the release build 30.5.0 Jay.

Thanks for doing the validation testing for the function.

Interesting. We always start our sound recorders before our cameras, just so that audio will capture the video take when it's called out. I do like the sync feature, though.

Jay: Did you notice if lens data on Birger is functioning in this build?

Which output would we use if we wanted to record the RED TC output as an audio track?
(to track 2 of a zoom H4 for example?)

Thanks.

Just a BNC to "1/4 inch or XLR?

David

Sorry, what I meant to say is the HD-SDI out triggers Video recorders like QTake to automatically start recording video when the Red starts recording. It does this via the SDI output to the SDI input on AJA

Thanks,

I'm trying to tap an audio TC signal to go on track two of the H4?
