New FCS update for FCS 2 as well?

Does anyone know if the new FCS 3 installer will work for FCS 2? Will it update any FCS components?

its will update FCS2 to FCS3 if you but the "Update" if thats what you mean.

Installed FCS3 and the new RED FINAL CUT STUDIO 3 INSTALLER
then I went to log & transfer, setted it for RED NATIVE
then I went to the folder containing my magazine
in the lower left appeared A006XXXX:adding
and nothing happened
FCP just frizzed

what am I doing wrong?

Do I now have to upgrade to FCP3 to use build 20? Or, is there going to be an update?

Nope, sorry. New components are FCS 3 specific. The quicktime codec is still fine with FCS 2 but the L&T and Color components are strictly FCS 3.

Ooooo, I'm assuming you meant the RED FCS 3 installer. Sorry if that's not what you were talking about.
