  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New EVF mount prototype pieces for EPIC from 3ality Technica (formerly ET)

Will work just fine ;)

I will take a picture with the leveler and extension when I get to the office tomorrow.

Sure May, that'd be great if you can. I'll send a pm.
Thanks,
lael

I love the build quality of this smaller Epic/Scarlet mount.

With the help of the ET Mantis, you are able to shift the camera's weight right back and over the operator's shoulder, while positioning the EVF in direct line with the lens view. IMHO, If you have to look up, while you shoot forward, you're using the wrong EVF mount.

Yes ... The 70-200mm is not exactly your go to handheld lens, but it's what I had handy.

Thanks so much May for getting our demo EVF mount to us just in time for the Click 3X test shoot. It's really great.

Here are some very quick and dirty iPhone photos of the Bomb EVF with the Element Tecnica EVF extension/leveler and O'Conner Bracket.

Keep in mind that this type of EVF extension set-up is expensive and not needed by the average user.

Keeping things in perspective ... for the same amount of money, you could travel here.

However, on a professional job, this really comes in handy while shooting from a dolly and/or off-angle tracking shots.

To make this set-up work, you will need:

- A head that can accept a leveling arm bracket (Ex: O'Conner 2575, 2065, etc)

- The Element Technica Bomb EVF Mount ... or adaptive parts from the slightly larger Red One ET Mount

- An Element Technica EVF Extension Arm

- An Eyepiece leveler Arm, like this one from Element Technica.

:) My ET Red monitor mount adapter :)

Ok, I see that you're just using a block of metal with some attachment holes drilled into it. I need just that. I shot some hheld last weekend and needed to use the LCD because of camera movement that was required. The LCD was on a Magic arm that was flopping all over the place. This would lock it secure and give me the versatility of adjustment that i love with my evf.
