  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Support... yes. Faster? Might have to wait for that.

I'd be tempted to go for the fastest ghz if I were you, even if it meant fewer cores. I'm using an 8-core right now and it's only using maybe 1 or 2 cores.

Of course I'm sure they will optimize their software at some point... or hopefully just go OpenCL.

Unless you have to have a system now... I'd wait, 'till March if you had to, but sounds like they are ramping up the timeline. 24 threads would be most welcome for the apps that could tap into that. Planning on getting one of these myself.
 
Thanks Guys, Bruce you answered exactly what I was concerned with. It only uses a couple of the cores.

BUT, I have to remember the RedRocket dose most of the processing on the R3Ds.
