Hello RED brethren,

Recently submitted to the Red store's M page. Haven't owned a RED One and previously I've only purchased a RED Station for editing work and eventually being an Epic owner.
What are the chances of a new customer getting in line for an order with little purchase history?
Filmmaker and colorist hoping to test the camera into the stratosphere of its potential.

Ready to purchase an M at the drop of a hat, but I realize there are several stages before the channel opens to new customers.
I realize this must get asked often, any timeframe appreciated.

I'd say best bet is to rent one from OffHollywood or other Epic-M owners in your area. Search the board...your question is answered many times over.

i am sure they would like to sell one to everyone, but due to japan they have limited availability.
hence they simply cant.
as of today rental companys, 3D productions, few US locals and fxguide have one.
asfaik some of the individuals werent red owners before though, so if you can offer something that makes a decision easier to give you an epic, maybe you should tell that Red and maybe than you get one.
the Epic M owners right now gain the epic exposure.
i accept that situation for me and i wait.

Hi Drew,

My opinion is that the Epic X will ship before they reach the end of the Epic M list so unless you specifically want an M for the titanium mount etc., the timing will probably end up being the same, or maybe even come after an X would!
