Hi all,

Am I understanding things correctly if assume:

a) The absence of red color/red gamma/FLUT etc in RED ALERT means that the "new" color science is not available in RED ALERT?

b) If A is correct - this also means that RED LINE doesn't support the new Color science?

c) And if A and B is correct - Monkey extract (using redline as an engine) doesn't support the new color science?

Kind Regards

Jack

Yes.

You are correct. It has been this way for Clipfinder users as well. There is a new REDLINE in the current SDK so the people at MOnkey Extract have access to the tools that"should" make it work.

Ok,

So in short, any process involving RED LINE / MONKEY EXTRACT would not use the new color science = lower quality output in regards to tungsten lit footage etc etc... where the new color science supposedly gives superior results?

Thanks

Jack

Correcto.

With Clipfinder there is a workaround that is a "SEND TO RC-X feature and then RCX does the rendering with the New Color Science.
