  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New CF cards

I know its like history repeating itself but I think this one might work even if it does drop 10mb/s thats enough to still keep the red one happy
 
it could technically drop even 15 MB/sec or so with redcode 42 coming out

but ya we've seen these numbers before...it's kinda like my LCD tv has 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio

hopefully it is as advertised
 
$300 sounds GREAT. I hope these work, but I am not holding my breath, as so far all of the other CF cards have yet to work ...
 
Sustained is what counts here, hope it works well.
 
It's interesting how the Features Description says:

SanDisk Extreme CompactFlash Memory Cards provide professional 60MB per second read/write performance for discerning photographers and motion picture artist ...

marketing speak I know. But, at least they are aware/targeting people using these for motion.

B&H typically has a 2 week no questions asked return policy.

BUT I think other cards are locked out for the higher data rates through firmware, so we can't really test them. RED?
 
This sounds good to go, hopefully Red will jump on this, test it, certify it and get it to us, 32gb for $300 sounds perfect
