  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Balance Skate Film

Russel that looked great. Loved the aerials. And the whole story/structure.

What fisheye were you shooting with? The Peleng?

Also - loved those tracking shots where your "following" the skaters. Were you on a board also? Couldn't figure out how you got those.

Congrats again. Superb piece!!

Thanks Nick!! I used a canon 8-15mm on a few shots but most of the wide shots were with the canon 15.5-47.

Yeah, I would skate with the camera handheld and follow the skaters on the tracking shots.

Russell, I really like all your videos. I always watch for updates ! You work together with Arto Saari ? Video from Helsinki it is also your job ? Very impressive ! Gosha Konyshev Russian Pro Skater participated in the filming , it was a great event in the world of Russian skateboarding , a lot of talk about it ))) I fully support you guys , thanks again for your work. I love skateboarding , big fan of Arto Saari. There is hope that you will come to Moscow ? If need be - interesting spots , or technique , or even any kind of help , we will always be very happy ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4YeSDMPAzo

Thanks Dima!! Yeah I worked with Arto quite a bit. He's rad. I have been trying to go back to Moscow for the past few years, it is one of my favorite cities to visit. I'll let you know if I head that way. That video part was amazing!!

Great work bro

Thanks Tristan!!

Not sure I understand what you are asking. Can you elaborate?

I think what he was asking is did you wing it and shoot gorilla style with the drone shots and did you come up against any issues using them in the city. Im curious myself as ive been shut down a few times using a drone on skate films in built up areas.

Aw yeah, I was definitely winging it and didn't have any issues. I tend to have more issues when I am flying my larger multi rotors as they draw a lot more attention. I would only fly for about 10 minutes in each area then move on or pack it up.

Yeaaaa Levi is a bawwse... I like that little mammoth spot you shot with Willis too. If you ever need help on any projects I'm in Long Beach it would be rad to do some stuff with you.

Thanks Mike!! Levi Rules. Yeah that would be awesome, love your work.
