  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Apple iPhone commercial:

downright awesome! both the commercial and the iphone 3G.
 
i have no idea, but what would make you think it was?
 
How can anyone say it looks like RED? What gives it away? I doubt ANYONE can look at any footage and name the camera just based on the final footage.

Honestly though, IMHO, it was probably shot on film.

As an example, i can be wrong, how noise tends to disappear with light but to cause problems to the H264 compression in the shadows gives away a digital camera.
I'm in this very moment compositing vfx on a 35mm 2K scan and grain feels more like a constant presence in the whole image.
RED (or digital footage in general) footage instead tend to have zero noise on highlights and visible noise in shadows (we'll se with build 16).
Also scanned film at this resolution (480p) often has more visible grain.
Given this, the ad could be F23 or another RED comparable camera but the options would not be so many.
I could say F23 or RED.
Anyway, it's just guessin'! :biggrin:

Could be that is shot on RED.

Have a look at resolution at the frame grab that is blown up from 848 x 480 pixels to 2560 x 1449 pixels at Apple's 30" Cinema Display.

As we know well here only RED can do this, no film, Genesis and F23... do not have this Super High Resolution resolution quality.

Please remember that on-screen graphics are CG as probably this whole shot is ...

Not so sure and btw what is clear that Italy just lost the football match against Holland, 0 : 3.
