  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Accessories in Stock

I got love for all redusers...but please be mindful that most of us are running businesses...so don't be so quick to shoot me down for posting a supposedly "non production" ready configuration.

On that note.. for those WHO DO appreciate what I post...

Thanks! Any chances for a less contrasty image?! Cant see the components there...

Here is a shot "under the hood." Later, I will post more detailed and clear pics..and walk through of exactly how I attach everything.

Thanks Tonaci! The more I see the gunner and it's endless configuration options the more I'd like to pick one up. I look forward to your in depth review.

That looks a lot like what I'm looking to do, Tonaci... thanks for posting. Is that matte box clip-on-only though? Looking forward to more details.

Hey Tonaci,

We never met but I do follow what you post with great interest on a regular basis, and I can tell you that the stuff I've read IS very useful info. I bought a Scarlet and a whole range of things and the Gunner has a lot of potential if you do want to add value to your dollar, so will be keeping an eye out for more reviews.

Keep it up buddy!

Anybody know if you were to attach two of the SWAT clamp to 19mm rail adaptors on each side of the gunner, would the rails be standard spacing? ie. You could attach a mattebox to them?

Hey Red team it would be incredibly helpful if RED started to expand the video instruction library to show things like the Gunner system and all the accessories so us out here in dummy land could work out exactly what to purchase.

Funny you say that Rory, because before the Epic, before the Red there was an "almost camera" called the Kinetta. I've read that Jim even said he was inspired by the Kinetta. Anyway, the Kinetta was developed by Jeff Kreines who specifically made a point of designing a camera by filmmakers for filmmakers. And if you find it (you can find it online - but here's one for you).

And note that it has a VERY similar form-factor to Tonaci's rig. So there you go - one pro's vs another.

It looks very nicely balanced to me. And I think that's the point.
