  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Never Winter"

Moe, what was your handle on DVXuser, your name seems familiar.

Anyway, I guess I'm late to the party, but yes, the trailer its pretty stunning. Your grade is very cinematic, who was your colorist?

Hmm, I think I was also under the name 'Moe'. Been a while since I logged in..

Your not late to the party my man, we're just gettin' started! LOL

I did the coloring myself on this.

It's been said many times, but coloring is a art all of it's own. I wish I had your instincts in that department :)

The most important thing is patience. lol. And knowing when to listen to feedback. Sometimes I work on a shot so long that I don't really see the colors anymore and completely mess it up. Credit goes to my partners Omar and Adrian.. They always guide me back in the right direction when that happens :)

And thanks for the compliments Robert!

Moe, I use a gray sheet to reset my eyes with.

I was at fotokem, and noticed that the walls of their telecine/davinci rooms are all gray, and everytime they needed to reset their eyes when they are doing color work, the guy would look at the wall, close his eyes, look at the wall. He said that resets his eyes.

I've been doing the very same.. and it helps. I could gradually see how my color edits look warmer as I played through.

Great tip! Gonna give it a shot for sure

I would like to add that a great deal of the credit also goes to my crew. I really couldn't have done this without them. There are too many to mention.. They all really kicked ass! This was one of the funnest sets to be on.

I'll ask Angel, my DP, to talk in more detail about lighting, camera settings, lenses, etc.. WHERE U AT ANGEL?? :)

Drama is my life and what my dreams are made of as we unfortunately never escape the truth of life!

Having said, you have done a great job on the execution of this story presentation, starting from your Story board, great drawings, very detailed, great web presentation, and the visual effects in the Trailer are beautiful, also love the music composition created for the mood of the story.

This you should not leave it as a short, this is a Movie, and a good one can definitely be.

ciao

Moe, this is exceptional work. As with others, I had goosebumps the whole time. I look forward to seeing the whole thing!

You guys are awesome... the movie is awesome... I second everyone in saying it should be a feature... glad this was done in South Florida. It's the type of quality we need.... Also glad that Cinevideo Tech helped out with the production... Egon is the man. ANGEL BARROETA is doing some great work... you guys got a quality crew.
