  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NEO Super Baltars

I don't know if the duclos price is just for the Neo Super Baltar lens groups( the Neo Super Baltars are sold as lens groups with no lens housing) or if that price includes the lens groups plus lens housing. The B&H price probably includes both the lens groups and lens housing.
 
Hi Rand,

My question was the same. And Duclos support responded saying its for entire Lens including Housing. May be the one who answered my question might not have enough info... will check with them again on coming Monday.

I'd be interested in knowing the correct answer to that question as well, thanks for looking into this with Duclos!

Not sure who said they cover full frame, but TLS told me they have no coverage increase in comparison to the original super Baltars. So they do not cover full frame or large format (except maybe a couple long focal lengths).

I know... This is a bit confusing.

Please check the below links...

In the video below @2:25, i heard him saying except 20mm and 25mm rest all in the series would nearly cover Full frame or at-least both Venice and Alexa LF (Though the image circle might not be same as FF/35mm)

Where as in the link below (In NEO SUPER BALTAR section), its mentioned that 50mm and above would cover Full Frame.

I got an email response from Duclos Lenses. The price is correct ( includes lens elements,TLS Housing. Ready to shoot right out of the box). And they are in stock too. Some of the focal lengths would cover 35mm image circle. However these are originally designed for Super35mm.
 
Thanks Uday! I appreciate you letting me know what they said! Yeah, these weren't really made for a Full Frame Image circle, although some lenses in the range may cover it.
