Need some decent rods and matte box urgently!

[Antonio Ribeiro]

Hi guys,

Need some seriously quick help in the London area. We have a two-day shoot this Sunday and Monday. We have a great matte box for our primes (3 x CP2s and one Zeiss Ultra Prime). But with the 15mm rod system, we will have difficulties using an Angenieux Optimo 24-290 T2.8 PL. The thing is a beast. :emote_22_yikes:

Anyone in London who has a decent 19mm rod/matte box system I can hire for two days?

Cheers
Antonio

Hey Antonio

try getting in touch with John Marchant at Kippertie, he's got quite a bit of red stuff.

good luck

That is a huge lens. Not many owner operators will have a mattebox or filters able to fit that front diameter. I'd suggest contacting rental houses Panavision UK, maybe Take2, Filmscape, Gear Factory, Aimimage, or Arri UK.

Wish I could help. I'm 15mm all the way.
