Hy Every Red Owner,
I’m Peter Szivolt an documentary filmmaker currently in the Antarctic on expedition cruise.
I would need some advice if your time allows as I’m about to purchase an HD camera. I’m more interested for the Red One then any other cameras, but I don’t have any experience with it yet. However there is a lot of people saying that: you must be the engineer of your REDONE as it has always some issues….
Of course I don’t believe to those has never seen a real camera that's the reason i came to you here.
On ice in the Antarctic or in the deep rainforest is no time to repair the camera and the weather conditions are also not good for it.
I don’t see much of Red Cam in the wild-life filmmaking industry, only Sony HDCam and Panasonic VariCam are the popular choice. How is the RED ONE would work in a 3-4-5 months shoot on field under heavy weather conditions???
Would you recommend it for wild-life filming?
Can I put Canon Still camera long L lenses on the Red One? Do I get good results?
What long zoom lenses are recommended on the Red ONE?
Please let me know.
Regards,Peter
