Hi Guys

So The FinnerKnowsBest team needs some help from all of you out there. We have all been slaving away for the last little while on projects and have found it difficult keeping up on all the new products coming out. So this is where we need all of you here to help us out. What we need is fellow redusers to let us know what products you want to see us do a video reviews on. We will then do what we can to get the product and do a full review on it for you all. Anything you want to see just post it on here and we will do what we can to do a review of it. Our team has some free time coming up to do this so the sooner we have product leads the better.

Also if you are a manufacturer of a product you would like to have us review please list it here or if you have a product about to come out on the market (***all product info will be kept confidential***)feel free to contact me with a private message or email me at daren @ finnerknowsbest.com (spaces to save from email bots)

Thanks all, the FinnerKnowsBest team really appreciate this.

cheers
Daren

Come on guys, there has to be some products we have not reviewed yet that you want to see????????

Hey, how about that Carion monitor we have been hearing so much about? I hear it's fantastic! There is something you guys could really sink your teeth into. Quality is always job one for you guys...

I understand the the owner of the company burned some of people on that deal and as soon as we heard the company was having shipping issues we pulled the review of that product off our site. Unfortunate though as the monitor itself was actually very good. Some people unfortunately have less integrity then others. We purchased and reviewed the monitor but had no affiliation with the carion company.

You will be excited to hear that we are working on setting up a system that will protect buyers from the pitfalls of smaller manufacturers. Thanks by the way as reviewing and suggesting quality products is always number one on our list. It has actually been quite expensive to run the finnerknowsbest.com site as we receive no money at all other then a few hundred dollars we get from sponsors of the NAB map.

cheers

Finner, how about a rundown/comparison of the various sliders/jibs/dollies for indies and EFP shooters?

May be off-topic, but I really would love to know how to set up an Epic for a lightweight 15" rods camera that can be instantly taken off the tripod and set on my shoulder in a second. Or, to say it differently, what do I have to buy to turn the Epic body into an Arri 235 with battery, mattebox and FF?

I have no clue how to "ergonomize" the Epic into a "real" camera. I know there are plans by Red to make that somehow happen (modularity....) but when I get my Epic in two months or so I want to prepared. It took me 6 months to make the R1 a workable camera, I don't want to go through that again.

Apologies if my request is off-topic but I'm not after new gadgets that make the unavoidable christmas tree grow even bigger - I'm after simplicity. I had that when life was not digital.

Any ideas?

Hans

What about different rigs, not only from one brand. But more customization of different parts to suit particular jobs.

For example the Clutch from Ketch

my biggest wish would be this

as epic rear module. add a XLR In, hdsdi out plus one sepreate little powerplate to run the redmote without the need to attach it to the body. and a way to attach the LCD so you can have all this features, EVF and LCD

asked them if something is in the works, didnt get a reply yet.
and a short cheestick with integrated focus hook on top.

if these things dont come i will let them custom build
that would be almost a perfect cinestyle module
