hi
I plan to change my computer in few weeks / month. I really need help because I don't understand nothing about hardware... I currently have an asus p6t with core i7 and 18 go RAM so it's really not strong enough for the new epic W
I use window 7 64 bits / adobe premiere pro, after effect, illustrator, photoshop, and cinema4d
I make 3D, motion design and video with GH4 red epic dragon and soon epic w ;)

So can you help me to build a full and strong set up from the begining to the end ? ( please talk to me like at a 4 years old children because I don't understand nothing about it ;))

don't know the amount I should spend for this, guess up to 3000€ ? maximum I can spend is 5000€. Maybe it should cost more ? maybe less ? don't know

thanks a lot for your help

thanks,
sorry I just forgot to mention I hate apple product So of course I want windows product only thanks for understanding
regards
jb

Jean, I'd take a serious look at the dual CPU HP Z840 series. They're specifically designed workstations for digital film, photography, VFX and graphic design. Make sure you're operating system is on an internal SSD and use RAID for storage. I'm on a dual Xeon 32gb Z640 with OWC Mercury Elite Pro Qx2 RAID5 8TB on USB 3.0. 6K R3D files in Premiere Pro I'm processing, coloring and cutting at 1/2 res with zero lag. Of course, you could build your own PC rig too. I like using this site for making sure my picks jive with eachother: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ You can follow pre-builds and tweak them, start your own or read an article. It's a good site to get informed with.

2 X Samsung NVME 950 Pro with 512Go ( reading 2500Mo/s / writing 1500Mo/s )

The Asus x99-Deluxe only supports up to 64GB of RAM (8 x DIMM, Max. 64GB according to the specs on the ASUS homepage), so you would have to go with 8x 8GB or 4x16GB. I would use 4x16GB as it's a Quad Channel Board. Either way, I PERSONALLY think 128 Gb is overkil, but that's just me.
Btw. the 5960x doesn't support 128GB memory either, it's max is 64GB. If you want 128GB you have to go with the "Asus X99-Deluxe II" and the 6850K.

Personally I would go with the I7-6850K over the I7-5960x, as I think the 6850K has the better price/performance ratio. Again, that's just my opinion.

On top of it, If you don't really know much about this kind of stuff, are you going to get someone else to assembly and set it up for you?

I recommend the HP Z840 or Z640. Fairly bullet proof, tool less design, super, super quiet in a studio environment, solid warranty support. As mentioned, you could build your own for maximum performance, but if that's not your forte, a preconfigured system is worth considering. Courtesy of IT Creations, there is a good video tour of each feature set for the Z840 (https://goo.gl/Nlq8tP) and the Z640 (https://goo.gl/Hra8pL).

thanks for answer, of course, I will buy this component in a shop and they will assembly them together for free in regard of the prize I spend for this computer ;)

Well, if that's the case I would "personally" go with this option over one of HPs Workstations.
Don't get me wrong, I work with them every day (CAD stuff) and they are very good machines, but in my very humble opinion they are incredibly overpriced for the performance they deliver.

And just one more thing, Z840 is just the title for the Hardware line. Not all Z840s are equal, as can be seen here: http://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/business-solutions/z840-workstation?jumpid=cp_r11400_us/en/ips/business_desktops/workstation/buynowZ840#!.

Specifically, be prepared to work at a reduced resolution in the timeline view for fluid, snappy playback performance and understand the value of proxy editing. A fast disk subsystem along with the strongest GPU you can afford will round out a complete system.

Each software utilizes GPU differently, therefore playback experience will differ depending on CPU/GPU configuration as debayering & playback don't work in a vacuum. The elixir of playback would the the Red Rocket-X, as it leverages the hardware to provide happiness with decode, debayer and transcoding duties. Adding a RR-X is the is the cheapest solution to having a Hero Box specific to working with RED media.

Hardware performance is a moving target. What is true today, not so much 6 months now. Buy as much as you can afford or is useful for your needs now.
