Need long hard drive cable

I placed an order with Red some time ago for a 6 foot drive cable. They are on back order and have been it seems for quite some time. I'm having a difficult time waiting. Has anybody used a third party? It must be totally reliable. Any suggestions?

Jim, I'm in the same boat and been told by RED that cable can only be supplied by them - no third party unfortunately!!

Frustrating. I'm limited in how i can use my camera. I have been trying to get away with compact flash cards in the config. I'd like to use. But a longer drive cable would make life a lot easier. It is frustrating when there is no information as to when something like this will be available and I go a bit crazy when the way I want to shoot is restricted by the availability of a cable.

A drive cable is not something I want to experiment with either. This is the lifeline of the camera.

I hope a solution is near.
