I am recording 3k with a edit time base of 59.94 and a frame rate of 60. The camera is dropping a ton of frames. Recording to red ram drives. Any idea's what could cause the dropped frames?

Thanks for all your help!

im worried about time now. The shoot is going to resume early am before they open up. Have you ever seen this problem?

Try swapping the drive cable as well as dropping the redcode a notch to see if that helps.

update: seems like once the footage is transcoded it is fine. either with a red rocket card or out of red cine x. would there be a reason that proxy files would only have the dropped frames? It shows the dropped frames in red cine x when navigating before the render but seems not to once rendered out.

I'd recommend running redundead on the original media just to be safe.

The Rocket seems to transcode most corrupt frames, don't ask me why.
I have no experience with the frame rate your shooting and only once used Red Ram drives but most of the time it's the cables, ports or overheating (in my case of the card reader) that causes corrupt frames. Try to change one after another to find the issue and make sure to always eyeball the debayer (playing the clip in RCX) of your copied footage to be safe.

I've had dropped frames on RED drive as well. Basically image turns gray for a few frames. It was random. Though, like you, when I opened it in RCX its all good. I just punched out new camera proxies. Hasn't happened to me in a while.

I replaced the drive cable just to be safe.
