On the shoot I am working on the timecode is repeating. The display is free run time code (not edge code) and she is complaining that she is seeing the same time code as she saw yesterday. Does the free run time code reset at the beginning of each reel? each restart?

Is there a setting I need to change or should she be recording mag/clip/freerun timecode?

help...

Thanks in advance

RFO, the timecode is time of day so if you're shooting at the same time of day as yesterday then your timecode will be the same. Time of day is the only timecode option at this point. I'm not sure if you can switch monitor to view edge code instead of timecode.

well I know how to set it as edge code - I had it set that way and that was problematic for her - I need to tell her how to track her shots - so should it be clip number/edge code or clip number timecode?

sure would be dandy to have record run TC - not edge code - but record run TC per MAG - (1st clip ends with 01:01:22:15 - 2nd clip starts with 01:01:22:16) - wouldn't it?

Isn't that what edge code is? Unless you mean progressing across mags....

hey everybody,
how can i change the time for the edge code on the camera, knowing that every time you format your dig mag it will reset automatically to 01:00:00:00, so why if i want to start the second tape with 02:00:00:00.
