I'm having a bit of a dilemma with deciding on what graphics card to buy next. Right now I have a gtx770, but I am looking to add a workstation card to my setup. My budget range is on the lower side, so i've had to limit my options to the following.

Dual Quadro 4000
Dual Quadro 5000
Single Quadro 6000
Single Quadro k4000

I realize that these are not the newest, but I need something that will help with 4.5K and 5k workflows, and have 10 bit support. Any recommendations would be a tremendous help!

Thank you

I have th esame needs right now. So this is what I found.

First, it depends on what software you are on.
For Resolve, I would prefer a lesser GUI card that can run 3 monitors because I like having desktop visible and other utilities. So it mean quadro K?000 and then a highend gaming GPU for computing, like a GTX Titan Black, right now

If budget is a concern, get the quadro 4000 for GUI (300$ on ebay), and then a GTX 980 new.

If you are running Adobe, then this is not the same. Playback and Cuda accelerated effects will run on your primary video card. So a Quadro 4000 will be less effective than a GTX 980 as a primary card. Though on render, it will use all the GPU available.

Me, I'm getting the GTX980 8Gb as a replacement for my 580ti. I have a quadro 5000, that will remain inside the wrokstation as I'm on Resolve The GTx980 should be released, like in a week or two.

If you really need 10bits, get an AJA or a BMD.
