Help... please?
Cedric,
Have you tried to read any R3D files in any other programs?
Premiere and Vegas both support RED on the PC. Have you tried your file in them?
This first step would indicate if its indeed the RED software at fault. See, if the file doesn't play in any program, then the file is at fault. If the file does play in some programs, then the ones where it doesn't play are at fault.
Also, you might want to try and run the software and file on a different computer. If it works there, then you need to consider that perhaps you should talk to your hardware vendor.
You can't just bleat that you are having a problem and hope to have it fixed. RED doesn't pay me, and neither do you.
In fact it isn't at all clear if you have ever paid RED... do you own a RED? If not RED doesn't "owe" you a thing.
You may find the words of St. Jeanne d'Arc enlightening:
"Aide toy, Dieu te aidera"
"God helps those who help themselves"
So, help yourself already. Do some diagnostics of your own. Report new results when you have them, and then someone might be able to help you, if the tests themselves don't show you how to solve the problem.
